MURDOCH VETERINARY MEDICINE CLASS OF 2022
Raising money for Love Your Pet, Love Your Vet and DVM2022 Halfway Day celebrations
WHAT WE DO
Murdoch University DVM 2022 Halfway Day Committee, located in the heart of MU's Vet School, is a social organisation dedicated to raising funds for the wonderful charity Love Your Pet, Love Your Vet, as well as their Halfway Day Celebrations.
With the dedication of our members and supporters, we are striving to raise as much funds as possible in support of Love Your Pet, Love Your Vet, whose mission is to bring awareness to the mental health plight within the veterinary industry across the world.
Breaking Social Stigmas, Spreading Awareness
DR NADINE HAMILTON
Not being satisfied with the status-quo, and also realising that as a psychologist she was in a position to address this serious issue, Dr Hamilton set about creating a 'paradigm shift' within the veterinary industry - which lead to her partnering with Royal Canin to raise awareness of veterinary wellbeing, reduce stigma in veterinary professionals seeking help, as well as providing support - hence our initial campaign, which has already surpassed any expectations we have had, and has reached countries and people all around the world. Our campaign videos have been watched over half-a-million times already!
LOVE YOUR PET, LOVE YOUR VET
Did you know that approximately one veterinarian will commit suicide every 12 weeks?
Your vet only wants the best for your pet. Show your appreciation by working with your vet to achieve the best possible care for your pet.
LOVING YOUR VET TIP #3
Vets are incredible and we love what they do for our pets – a little thanks and a smile can go a long way in helping your vet feel appreciated.
